Janette's Biography:
My name is Janette
Armand and I am a 21 year old junior at the University of
Washington. I am a double major in theater and sociology: an
interesting, yet very complementing pair! Despite my French last
name, both my parents were born and raised in Cuba, coming to the
United States to better their lives. I was born in Los Angeles,
California, as were my two sisters.
At the University
of Washington I am currently finishing my theater major and I want
to explore the world of stage directing and playwriting, a passion
of mine since middle school. As for my sociology major, I am eager
to explore criminology, law, and child deviance. My plans for
graduate school include play directing and teaching. With my
education experience, I want to fuse together my passions to create
an education program in theatre for deviant children.
I work at the
Student Athletic Academic Services (SAAS) at the University of
Washington, where I supervise and tutor drama and sociology to
student athletes. My hobbies include cooking, learning instruments,
exercising, and spending time with family. Family is very important
in my life. They hold for me the greatest gift I cherish, which is
believing in me and supporting me in what I love to do.
