Every year the Hispanic SEAFAIR Organization gives out a scholarship to the elected Miss Hispanic SEAFAIR, and her court. The scholarship winner is selected based on academic achievements, community service platform, creative expression, a personal interview, and participation at events.

As contestants of the Miss Hispanic SEAFAIR Scholarship Program for Women, each student received training in Public Speaking, Interviewing, Creative Expression Performance, Modeling, Etiquette and Grooming. Over the course of three months the contestants attend workshops that allow them to learn and gain more skills in the areas mentioned. The training's purpose is to help build well rounded role models for our community, prepare each contestant to be successful in our scholarship program and prepare them to take on leadership roles in our community.


REQUIREMENTS:

Be 18 years of age by August of the current year of participation
Be enrolled as a Full-Time student at a college or university as of Fall/Autumn term of the current year of participation.
Be involved in or have plans to start a community service platform.
Be a single woman (not married, divorced or a mother)
Be a woman of good moral character

As Miss Hispanic SEAFAIR...

Your requirements include the following:

Participating in the Miss SEAFAIR Scholarship Program for Women, as a representative of HSO and the Hispanic Community.
Participating in all SEAFAIR community events during the month of July and the first week(s) of August.
Availability throughout the year for Appearances.
Availability for travel to Mazatlan, Mexico for "Carnaval" where you will participate as an Ambassador for Washington and participate in the election of "Reina Internacional del Pacifico". (6 days of travel, Passport Required)
Availability to help in the candidate process January to May the year following your crowning. (average 3 Saturday's a month)
Be willing to help and volunteer at Hispanic SEAFAIR Events
